Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people aged 16+. My approach is warm, person-centred and tailored to you, providing a confidential space to explore whatever may be bringing you to counselling.
You may be experiencing grief or bereavement, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, life changes, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right. You don’t need to fit neatly into a category to come to counselling — we can begin with whatever feels important to you.
-
Not at all.
Sometimes you may know exactly what you want support with. Other times, you might simply know that you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, lost, anxious, stuck or unlike yourself.
You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a perfectly formed reason for coming. We can gently make sense of things together, at a pace that feels right for you.
-
There doesn’t have to be a crisis for counselling to be worthwhile.
You might be going through something difficult, trying to understand patterns in your life, processing a loss or change, struggling with how you feel about yourself, or simply wanting somewhere that is entirely yours to talk.
Counselling offers you the time and space to explore those experiences without judgement or expectation. You don’t have to know whether it will be right for you before making contact — our initial conversation can help you decide.
-
Getting started can be simple. You can get in touch through my contact page or by email and tell me a little about what has brought you here.
From there, we can arrange an initial free conversation and explore what you’re looking for from counselling, answer any questions you may have and see whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
There is no pressure to have everything figured out before you reach out.
-
You can reach me anytime via my contact page or email. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

Individual counselling sessions are £55 per session.
I also offer a reduced rate of £50 per session for students and emergency service workers, including police officers, firefighters and ambulance service staff.
We can talk through fees and payment arrangements before we begin, so everything feels clear and you have space to ask any questions.
